Here in Chua Chu Kang Town, we keep building better for you.
Let’s look at some of the improvements from the 2020 Master Plan that have refreshed our town.
Better Living with Better Homes
A new look was given to 280 blocks of flats through the Repair & Redecoration works, with residents getting to pick their estates’ new colours.
Blocks 402 to 417 at Bukit Batok West Avenues 4 and 7 got a facelift with a fresh coat of paint.
Better lifts for 106 blocks, with 204 lifts improved or replaced.
Life goes on smoothly through routine works such as water pipe replacements, re-roofing or electrical load upgrading carried for 120 blocks.
Blocks 340 to 346 at Choa Chu Kang Loop had re-roofing works done.
Improved amenities for 8,796 households with 5 ongoing or completed Neighbourhood Renewal Programmes (NRPs), featuring improved fitness corners and jogging tracks, new playgrounds, event halls, pavilions and more.
The well-loved The Arena@Keat Hong Hong was one major improvement added under the NRP.
Enabling Healthier, Enjoyable Living
More fun for kids at 18 enhanced or new playgrounds in town.
Bigger and better slides at Block 387, Bukit Batok Avenue 5.
Staying fit gets easier with 12 fitness corners added or improved.
Residents enjoying the new 3G fitness corner at Block 501, Bukit Batok Street 52.
20 new community spaces, including pavilions, hard courts, game courts and BBQ pits, provide residents with more avenues to play, bond and meet.
A multi-purpose court at Block 808D, Choa Chu Kang Avenue 1, gives residents more spots to play and socialise.
4 new community gardens have been added, bringing the total to 36 such gardens across the town. These gardens are an oasis for residents with green thumbs, and the fruits of their labour have blessed many in the community.
Uncle Tay Ka Leong, who lives in Sunshine Gardens, is one of CCK Town’s green thumbs who enjoys tending to fruits and vegetables at the community gardens.
Cooler & easier commute
Greater protection from the sun and rain with 62 new sheltered linkways, ramps and drop-off, ensuring a more comfortable journey.
With this new linkway, travelling between Blocks 338 and 345 at Bukit Batok Street 34 is now a breeze, rain or shine.
CCK Town is also growing greener as:
- 97% of common area lights are fitted with LED lighting
- 275 blocks have rooftop solar panels, saving 10.56 million kg of carbon dioxide emissions every year
- 70 flyer recycling bins dot our town, collecting some 84kg recyclables monthly
- 1,403 more trees have been planted for more shade and greenery in our town

Making Brickland Even Better
In Brickland, we took the lead in greening our town with our annual Sustainability Festival on 6 April 2024, where a new sustainability corner lets residents recycle unwanted or broken home appliances, textiles and others.
Here are some highlights of the new improvements made to our estate:
Sunshine Estate in Choa Chu Kang Avenue 5 sporting a cheery new look
Yay, play time for the children has gotten a boost at this new playground at Block 808C, Choa Chu Kang Avenue 1
Moving around the estate is now smoother, cooler and more comfortable with this new sheltered ramp (top) between Block 490A, Choa Chu Kang Avenue 5 and Choa Chu Kang Avenue 6, and the new drop-off porch at Block 811B, Choa Chu Kang Avenue 7.

- Sheltered linkways at Block 818 as well as between Blocks 251 and 254 at Choa Chu Kang Avenue 1

- Our new Brickland Sport-in-Precinct for Active Living, which boasts new facilities such as a basketball court, playground and fitness corner.
Elevating How We Live in Bukit Gombak
Various improvements have been made across our estate. Here are some highlights:
A fresh new look for our favourite Bukit Gombak Neighbourhood Centre along with the new designs for Blocks 501, 503 to 511, Bukit Batok Street 52 as well.
The playground at Block 387, Bukit Batok West Avenue 5 got bigger and better, and the children couldn’t be happier!
The driveway and drop-off porch at Block 377, Bukit Batok Street 31 have been made safer and smoother for residents.
Sunshine Leisure Corner at Block 526, Bukit Batok Street 51 sports a cheery new look with more seats and amenities for residents to rest and socialise.

- Resurfaced driveway for a safer, smoother drive at Block 377, Bukit Batok Street 31
- Our Bukit Gombak Neighbourhood Centre will be turned into a Modern Heritage Heartland Hub under Our Heartlands 2025 programme where shops will be revitalised for an exciting, vibrant future.
- New Hume MRT station is slated to open in 2025.
- New Central Manpower Base (CMPB) will offer more dining, retail and recreational options, starting in 2025

Enhancing our Beloved CCK Estate
The new SAFRA Choa Chu Kang, offering a wide array of dining and leisure options, has quickly become a favourite spot in our town.
This new addition – and more – are making CCK Estate a home for better living. Here some highlights:
A cooler walk is now possible with this new sheltered linkway connecting Blocks 9 to 143 on Teck Whye Lane.
Barrier-free access in our estate got a leg-up with this new ramp at Blk 160, Jalan Teck Whye.
Residents no longer need to worry about the weather when using these new sheltered drop-off porches at Block 159, Jalan Teck Whye (top) and Block 12, Teck Whye Lane.
New amenities at Teck Whye Lane include this new 3G fitness corner at Block 141 (top) and a multi-purpose pavilion with a stage at Block 132.
Look forward to more amenities coming to you:
- New community places, including children’s cycling trail, playground and fitness corner for residents of Blocks 201 to 221 and 223 to 239 Choa Chu Kang Central/Avenue 1 under the Neighbourhood Renewal Programme
- An expanded Teck Whye Market will offer a greater shopping experience when its annexe is completed.
- A sheltered ramp and staircase from Block 108, Teck Whye Lane, to the bus stop will give residents better access & a smoother commute.
Building Better in Hong Kah North
As our newest residents move into Tengah, the supermarket and food centre at Plantation Plaza have opened to offer fresh dining and shopping options.
Let’s take a look back at what we’ve achieved thus far under our 2020 Masterplan:
Hong Kah North has new recreational spots for the young and the old. Our youngest residents enjoy a roaring good time at this new playground (top) at Block 334, Bukit Batok Street 32.
Those with a green thumb can enjoy the great outdoors with a new community garden (middle) at Block 353, Bukit Batok Street 34, and fitness buffs can hit the new fitness corner next to Block 337, Bukit Batok Street 34.
Blocks 310 to 323, Bukit Batok St 32/33, rejuvenated with a new paint job.
A series of sheltered linkways have been built at Block 460D, Bukit Batok West Avenue 9, to the bus stop (top) and Blocks 438B to 438C, Bukit Batok West Avenue 8, to allow pedestrians to walk comfortably, rain or shine.
Similar enhancements were made at Blocks 448B to 448D, Bukit Batok West Avenue 9 (top), and Blocks 443A to 443, Bukit Batok West Avenue 8 (multi-storey carpark).

- Yummy food to sample from 22 cooked food stalls at Bukit Batok West Hawker Centre, located at level one of Harmony Village @ Bukit Batok, slated to open in the second quarter of 2025.

Better Living in Keat Hong
We brought you The Arena @ Keat Hong under the $15 million Keat Hong Neighbourhood Renewal Programme (NRP) for Blocks 401 to 428 in Choa Chu Kang Avenues 3 and 4. With its array of indoor and outdoor fitness and recreational options, this inter-generational sports and recreation hub supports and encourages residents to engage in active and healthy lifestyles.
We have more such improvements coming your way!
Under the ongoing NRP at Blocks 271 to 295 Choa Chu Kang Ave 2/3, there will be animal-themed playgrounds, from hedgehogs to zebras and lions.
This recently completed parrot-themed playground at Block 274 Choa Chu Kang Avenue 2 is one example.
Construction is also underway for linkways, playgrounds, fitness corners, a multi-purpose hall and a community garden.
Over at Block 351, CCK Central, the new drop-off porch offers greater and better coverage even in heavy rain.
Like a butterfly waiting to emerge, Blocks 271 to 295 Choa Chu Kang Avenue 2/3 and Blocks 302, 304 to 308, 340 to 346, and 350 to 355 Choa Chu Kang Loop/ Central/Avenue 4 are undergoing a transformation with vibrant colours.
